What is Jailbreaking?

A lot of people ask me if Jailbreaking is Unlocking…the answer is, no it’s not!

Jailbreaking essentially means that you can install 3rd party applications on your iPhone or iPod Touch via cydia witch is an alternative of the Apple Store. This means that you can run non Apple Store applications and modify your device any way you can possible imagine. Apple has very strict rules about what goes through to the Apple Store. These rules, keep control of the iPhone and iPod Touch platform in Apple’s full control.
